Both of our cottages were built in 1999, in the style of 19th. century miner's cottages. Each cottage has its own garden, and a little picket fence out the front. From the front verandah you can see across to Mt. Alexander, and out the back there is a winding laneway, and the trees and hills of the Nuggetty Ranges.

Kookaburra Cottage (2 bedroom) is popular with families. There is a double bed in one bedroom, 2 singles in the other. It adjoins state forest, and is only 2kms. from the shops.

Blue Wren Cottage. This lovely 1 bedroom cottage, whilst built in the 1990's, reflects the style of a 19th century miner's dwelling. It has a spa bath, and a cosy & convenient gas pot-belly heater. The shops and restaurants are only 2kms away.

Maldon is one of our favourite places and staying at Blue Wren is a delight. There are some great walks through the woodlands behind the cottage, and great vibes throughout the place. A big thankyou!   Chris and Lydia (November 2011)
