Maldon Museum & Archives Assoc. Inc.

The Maldon Museum and Archives Association Inc. curates historic machinery from a wide area historical information and artifacts from Maldon & District. The District includes Baringhup, Bradford, Gowar, Muckleford, Neereman, Nuggety, Pollard, Ravenswood South, Sandy Creek, Shelbourne, Tarrangower, Walmer, Woodbrook (Chinaman's Creek), Maldon, and parts of Eddington and Welshman's Reef. Also, from 1947 to 1956, there was a construction settlement for Cairn Curran Reservoir at Baringhup.

Our newsletter, Maldon Muse, is circulated quarterly.
Full Membership of the Association is: Adult $20. Under 18 years $10. Newsletter-only Membership $10, all annually.

Full membership supports the development of facilities, and provides you with the Newsletter, free access during opening hours, the right to attend Association meetings, to nominate for office, and to vote at general meetings.

The Maldon & District Museum gratefully acknowledges the support of the Mount Alexander Shire Council and the Commonwealth Jobs (Stimulus) Fund in the restoration of the building and the funds to purchase dust proof cabinets.

Location:
Old Shire Hall, Maldon Gardens, High Street, Maldon (behind the Visitor Information Centre).
Otherwise, the building is staffed by volunteers, and aims, but doesn't guarantee to be open 1.30-4pm Fridays to Wednesdays, excluding Christmas Day. Please note that the Museum will NOT open when the North Central Fire Danger Ratings District has ratings of Code Red (Catastrophic) or Extreme.
